I am often asked the question "so what is it that you do"? My short answer is that I help people to live and work from their CORE and express themselves authentically through their work and in their life so they can enjoy the success they really want while improving their health, wealth and relationships in the process. We then usually end up talking about my Core Focus Coach Approach which I use in my work and inevitably I am asked what I mean when I talk about "Core Focus".
To begin to answer that question, I will usually start by asking one or more of the following:
Most people can relate to one or both of these scenarios. How about you? Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions? Have you ever wondered "Why?" This was such a common question among my clients over the years which is why the Core Focus Coach approach was developed.
Core Focus is a process that can help transform those feelings of stress, disconnect and even overwhelm, into calm, confidence, and clarity by partnering with a professional coach to create a compass and a roadmap for accomplishing what you want in a way designed uniquely for you. It's a process that can help turn a team around as they learn to work and lead from their core, as individuals, as employees and as a team. This approach, when implemented organizationally, can increase employee loyalty and engagement, improve performance, reduce costs and also improve profitability." How is that possible?. Well, everything leads from the CORE because that is where really great change begins. Core Focus is...
To begin to answer that question, I will usually start by asking one or more of the following:
- Have you ever felt stressed out and frustrated or felt out of sync with what you are presently trying to do or how you are presently trying to do it?
- Have you ever thought or even been told by someone else that you are doing all of the right things and to just keep it up, but you are still for some reason feeling like you are swimming upstream or trying to run in quicksand?
- Do you have competent and capable people on your team who just can't seem to get it together in terms of the results they are producing?

defined in the dictionary as follows:
Core - a central and often foundational part usually distinct from the enveloping part by a difference in nature…the central part of a celestial body…
Focus - a subject that is being discussed or studied, a main point or interest,…a center of activity, attraction or attention, a point of concentration, …the point at which an image is formed by a mirror, a lens etc. (1)
At Connect Coaching & Education, and here at The Core Focus Coach we define Core Focus for individuals, as the intentional process of systematically lining up who you are naturally and authentically, with not only what you choose to do both personally and professionally, but also why and how you go about being and accomplishing in the world at your best, at work, at home, with colleagues, customers and with friends and family. Core Focus is mindfully and authentically living forth your life, your mission-purpose, and your work in a way that enables you to be at your best, do your best work, achieve your highest aspirations, make significant and meaningful connections with others and influence the world around you in healthy, positive and productive ways. Core Focus is matching your ventures with your values so you can be and feel your best as you go about doing what matters most.
The same process is possible for businesses as well (no matter their size). From a business perspective, Core Focus is the intentional process of matching employees’ natural values, strengths and preferences for being at their best and doing their best work with the role they are assigned within the company, within teams and as leaders, while also ensuring that these roles also line up with the business mission and priorities of the company. Whether a business is a global concern or a home based solo-preneurship or anywhere in between, Core Focus can help improve the health, happiness and productivity for both employees and the business overall.
Core focus is critical to long term, sustainable success and where all great change begins, for individuals and businesses alike.
